Funding for Training Juvenile Drug Court Teams

Got experience helping juvenile drug courts implement the 16 strategies needed to run an effective drug court? The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is looking for a provider to "build the capacity of service delivery" for juvenile drug courts nationally "through providing online, Web-based, and face-to-face individual and group training sessions."
Interested in applying? "The provider should have substantial experience conducting assessments of technical assistance needs, developing and conducting training on the [s]trategies, effectively communicating and collaborating with drug courts, and conducting post-training evaluations." Deadline is June 15, 2010. 

 
That's Not All - Four More OJJDP Funding Announcements

As I've said before, this is a great year for funding announcements from The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). About a month ago, I posted about five grant opportunities from OJJDP whose deadlines still haven't passed. Here's four more (some of them are more prevention-focused): 

• Community-Based Violence Prevention Demonstration Program - deadline June 18, 2010.  The application deadline is the same if you're interested in performing the national evaluation for this program.
• Do you have an existing Safe Schools/Healthy Students Initiative in your community? These grants underwrite mentoring for underserved students. Apply by June 15, 2010.  
• Tribal organizations operating in Wyoming -- as well as public and private nonprofit agencies that operate there -- are eligible to compete for funds to develop "a range of secure and nonsecure alternatives for juveniles in custody and in revising policies and implementing procedures to address compliance with the core requirements" of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act, in which the state of Wyoming does not currently participate. Careful, though: the application deadline is May 31, 2010.
