A few quick links that crossed our desk today:
- Many of you probably saw this on Join Together, but it's worth repeating: according to a new national survey, 19% of teens surveyed say that it's easier for them to buy prescription drugs than beer, cigarettes, or marijuana. More info on the survey from the Center for Substance Abuse Research (CESAR) at the University of Maryland here.
- Our new site in Bristol County, Massachusetts just got some nice local press. UPDATE AS OF 12/5: Bristol County got even nicer press here.
- For those of you who missed it, Youth Today recently did a cover story (subscription required) on two major juvenile justice reforms: the Casey Foundation's Juvenile Detention Reform Initiative (JDAI), and the MacArthur Foundation's Models for Change effort. Youth Today was skeptical about the initiatives' success, which generated a fair amount of controversy. See some of the responses here.
