Welcome Message From the Director

Hello, Reclaiming Futures Community -- welcome to the newest part of our national learning community: our blog. Over the past few years, I've been inspired and energized by the way others have used this evolving medium to share ideas and build movements. Never has there been a more important time in the life of Reclaiming Futures to make use of this approach, as we move from pilot stage to building a true national movement. 
Reclaiming Futures began as an experiment, thanks to the generosity of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Nine years later, Reclaiming Futures is still here because of continuing investment from RWJF, and because of the increasing breadth of our partnerships, which now encompass the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, and the original pilot sites that have provided additional funding to sustain new levels of service and innovation. 
As the next few years unfold, we will explore new partnerships in the public and private sectors. Our goal is simple: to make Reclaiming Futures available to any community in the United States that wants to build more treatment, better treatment and go beyond treatment. 
But a national movement is a form of collective action that goes beyond what any one organization or one person can do on its own. And every step of the way, our efforts have been successful because the leaders at each of our sites have taken such an extraordinary level of ownership. Thank you for that ongoing investment of yourselves.
